St Joe's Home for Children
Last Spring I found a chunk of open time and decided to donate some artwork. A good friend of mine is a teacher in Minneapolis. She told me that she has students that live at St. Joe's Home for Children, usually due to some difficulty in their families. I contacted St. Joe's and asked if they'd like a mural in their lobby. The staff at St. Joe's held a vote among all the residents to choose the mural's theme.

The majority of staff and residents liked a tree mural I had done previously, so I planned for a
three color "forest" that was overall soft and inviting. Matches the gold tones in the floor tile.
My goal was to create something soothing, to erase the institutional feel on the plain white walls.
Really fun project, I very much enjoyed being there. I got a LOT of fun questions from the kids,
mainly: "Do you really do this for a living?!"
